Study at the Ateneo as an international exchange student and get a chance to learn at one of the oldest and finest Jesuit-administered institutions in the heart of South East Asia. Entering the campus, one steps into gently rolling terrain with grassy fields and tall trees providing a favorable environment for disciplined inquiry, fruitful interaction, and quiet reflection.
Considered as one of the best private universities in the Philippines and as a first-rate university in Asia, the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) provides a strong liberal arts tradition imbued with the Ignatian spirit of service and excellence. It offers reputable major programs in science and engineering, social sciences, humanities and management. Cognizant of its role as a window to Asia, the Ateneo welcomes international students in its various undergraduate and graduate degree programs, student exchange programs and cultural immersion programs.
Students accepted into this program will be allowed to choose from Ateneo's wide variety of courses, as long as all pre-requisites have been met. Please review the Ateneo Course Bulletin

to determine the courses that will likely be offered when you are there. (Course are subject to change, but they do not typically change from one spring semester to the next spring semester.)
For the fall semester, you should plan to arrive in late July for orientation. Your final exams will end in early December. For the spring semester, you should plan to arrive in early January and will finish the semester in late May. Please review Ateneo's Academic Calendar

You must have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in order to apply.
Ateneo has on-campus dormitories for male and female students in its main Loyola Heights Quezon City campus. Off-campus dormitories/apartments are 10 to 15 minute-walk from the University. The university and the dormitories/apartments in the vicinity are surrounded by commercial areas. Quezon City is one of the 16 cities that compose Metro Manila. Makati City the Central Business district is 14 km (about 8.5 miles) away, while the old City of Manila is 17 km (about 10.5 miles). You will have three options for housing accommodation as an exchange student at Ateneo: on-campus residence halls, off-campus dormitories and off-campus apartments/condominium units.
